Escape The Rain

Isn't this weather terrible, this month it's certainly living up to it's name "April Showers". So I've decided enough is enough and I'm off to sunnier climes. Flying out to the lads's villa in Cyprus next weekend to remind me what the sun looks like. Sorry can't take you with me but will try to post some photos to cheer people up and remind them what sunshine looks like. Will be thinking of you all when I'm sat at the edge of the pool with a tinnie.

First Charity Event of the Year

Well the first charity event of the year has been held.   It was an afternoon tea and was very well attended.   There was an abundance of cakes for people to take home and an excellent set of raffle prizes and tombola stall, unfortunateley I didn't win any raffle prizes but collected several things from the tombola stall and a lovely big chocolate cake that was baked by Ted Roberts sister which tasted even better.

The total raised was around £250 at the last count a final total will be in the Newsletter, the proceeds going to a chartity based at Hull university "RED" - short for Reckless Energetic Dancing which was set up just over 5 years ago to provide a nightclub for adults with learning disabilities, and their friends. If you'd like to make a further donation please contact Sue at the post office.

Just so you don't miss any of this years events put them in your calendar now so as not to miss out supporting this years charity.   You'll always find a list of all forthcoming events at our websites event diary Here.
